late update

Hello followers. In the evening Dr. Menezes came by while I stepped out for a bit and talked to Ellie and Ryan. He said she should be sitting in a chair tomorrow and trying to walk on Sunday. Exciting!! He wants to do MRI scans on her every six months to keep our eye on things. Ellie looks better and better every hour that passes. Tonight she is sleeping peacefully the nurse said when I called in to check on her. We think she will be transferred to the pediatrics floor this weekend. Woo Hoo!! A doctor from oncology also came to visit when I was out and talked to Ryan. He said he didn't think she would need radiation or anything but he'd refer us to the head oncologist because that person deals with the pediatric cases. So unless he says something different we are happy to know we probably won't be doing radiation or chemo treatments. We'll keep you updated about the future visits from oncology. Ellie is getting feedings through her tube again and they will feed her something when she asks for food. They aren't going to push it on her. They want her to ask and then go at it little by little so she doesn't get sick to her stomach. Thanks to all our visitors and all the wonderful emails and messages we've been getting. It's keeps us occupied, hopefull and strong.
