Friday morning update

We saw Dr. Menezes pretty early this morning. He said the MRI from last night was clear. There are no tumors in her brain or spine. Praise God!! He suggested MRIs every 6 months. There is still a little swelling in her brain where they operated but it's still normal.

He also said the breathing tube could come out today when the pediatricians on the floor were ready to do it. Her chest x-ray looked clear today! They will also be taking the suction tube out of her right nostril. The feeding tube in her left nostril will stay for a little while until we are sure she can swallow and eat well. They have stopped her feeding for today to prepare her for the extabation. They are also going to decrease her pain meds so she can be more alert to take out the tube. This morning they did a two hour test where they set the ventilator so it wouldn't give her breaths it helped when she took breaths herself. She did wonderful breathing on her own the doctors said. Her breathing patter was normal so they are confident to take out the tube that she will breathe on her own. They are going to continue her meds for trachitis for a little while.

We are very pleased with reports so far today. We are excited to get the tubes out today. I will get pictures on here and reports on how things went later on.

Thank you everyone for your wonderful support, gifts to keep us occupied and everything you have done for us. We can't thank you enough. We love you all and as Hannah always says, "JESUS LOVES YOU"

We miss you Nate! See you Sunday!
