Hi all, I hope you are doing well. Here is an update on something that has been bothering Ellie for a while. We went to Ellie's ear, nose and throat specialist appointment with Dr. Burgman to look into her "facial paralysis" problem. Basically looked like the Bell's Palsy I experienced after Nate was born. It was just affecting her upper lip then recently I noticed her nose and eye was being affected also. So I took her to her Dr. and she referred to the ENT specialist. He thought maybe there was lots of fluid that was causing the paralysis so they did a hearing test in a booth with Ellie before the doctor saw her. Her left ear passed! But her right ear didn't. She has moderately severe hearing loss in her right ear of tones that are medium to high. He's not treating her with meds for Bell's Palsey because she has hearing problems going on. So he wants to do an MRI of her ear and head to see if there is anything deep in her ear canal causing this hearing loss. His words, "like a growth or infection". So I am currently waiting for a call to find out when the MRI will be. I'll keep everyone posted. Prayers would be much appreciated. It's the unknown that is bothersome.
